How to convert YouTube to MP3 on iPhone

Save the audio from a YouTube video as an MP3 on your iPhone: podcasts, lectures and your own uploads, for listening offline.

Step by step

  1. Step 1

    Copy the video’s link

In the YouTube app, tap Share under the video, then Copy link.

  2. Step 2

    Open the converter in Safari

Go to YouTube to MP3 on FetchBolt and paste the link. The Audio options appear.

  3. Step 3

    Choose a bitrate

Tap Download on 320 kbps for the best quality or 128 kbps for a smaller file. Safari saves it to Files → Downloads.

  4. Step 4

    Listen

Open the Files app, tap the MP3 to play it, or share it to an app that plays audio files.

MP3 or M4A on iPhone?

iPhones play both. M4A is YouTube’s original audio with no conversion, so it’s ready faster and keeps full quality. Choose MP3 if you’ll move the file to an older device or car stereo.

Long videos

Hour-long podcasts and lectures convert the same way. The button shows the progress while the file is prepared.

The tool for the job

Everything above uses the YouTube to MP3. MP3 at 320, 192 or 128 kbps, or the original M4A audio with no re-encoding.

Questions

Can I add the MP3 to Apple Music?

iPhone doesn’t let you add files to the Music library directly. On a Mac, add the MP3 to the Music app and sync it to your iPhone.

Is it free?

Yes, all audio downloads on FetchBolt are free.
